History
Many Malcolm Moore locomotives were originally built for the Commonwealth Government (Department of Supply) during WWII and were later sold to sugar mills as surplus. They were typically small, 4-wheel diesel-mechanical units powered by Ford V8 engines, though many were later re-engined.
